Yeah OnePlus somehow changed a lot and it seems that it is just a bit of a pain. Latest Samsung S-series are good too, since Samsung promies 4 years security updates. But i really don't know which models are the best options right now. I think, if i didn't switch to iPhone last year, and was in the market for a new phone, it might be the Nothing Phone. And first Looks from Youtubers seem positive. Oneplus 10 Pro was sadly a step backwards in many Aspects.īut since Oneplus kinda started to disappoint more and more (still, i would consider it just for the Alert Slider, it's really a Killerfeature), take a look into the Nothing Phone. Yes, it's a year old now, but price went down. If you want to stick to Oneplus, you might try the Nord 2, or go up to a Oneplus 9 Pro from last year. 13 series has better batterylife than 12 series, so it's recommended.īut worth, if you like to keep your Phones for rather 4-5 years than just 2-3 years. IPhone 13 is great, or 13 mini if you like it small. Old, ugly, inefficient Design, no Oled (but pretty much the best IPS Screen on any smartphone), and extremely bad Batterylife. SE is the only iPhone i would never recommend to anybody. Never tried one, have left the apple universe a time ago. I saw the Pixel 6 with a nice offer but maybe there is a better solution(maybe Samsungs A series?). The price range Im looking at is at around 500-600. Rootable is also a nice to have but not a must

The battery should survive a day with moderate usage (mainly messaging and some brwosing during the day) Regular Software Updates should be provided Occasionally a photo (mainly point and shoot) - So not really a big need for the best lenses i guessĮxtendable storage would be nice but not neccesary, as I lastes almost 4 years with the build in. But slowly the battery is getting weaker, the USB-Port starts to get loose and the internal storage (64gb) starts to fill up.

My daily driver for the last 3.5 years was my Oneplus 3T and it served me well.
